Forklift Water Pumps - The water pump is attached to the engine's crankshaft. It is a basic centrifugal pump that is driven by a belt which is connected to the crankshaft. If the engine is running, the pump circulates fluid.
Using centrifugal force, the water pump sends water to the outside as it turns causing the fluid to be continually drawn from the center of the pump. The pump inlet is situated close to the center. This design enables fluid returning from the radiator to hit the pump vanes. The pump vanes are strategically placed so as to fling the fluid outside of the pump so it goes in the engine.
The fluid firstly flows throughout the cylinder head and engine block before exiting the pump. The fluid then travels into the radiator before lastly coming back to the pump.
